Megan Amaral

My name is Megan Amaral, and this blog is a project which I started to help teach myself about digital preservation.  I recently completed my Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science at San Jose State University.  During my studies in this program, I  developed a personal passion and curiosity for digital preservation, which I view as an emerging field with universal relevance and applicability.

I was also an intern for iPRES 2009, which was hosted by the California Digital Library in San Francisco during October 2009.  iPRES is an annual international conference that brings together researchers, thinkers, and practitioners of digital preservation efforts.
